questo finesettimana - this weekend

(preliminary remarks: it is difficult for someone who has learned to concentrate on the present moment to write a post on the future – even if it's immediate - . it's very difficult.)

this weekend, after a long train ride in a sleeper, my little boy, my brown haired friend and I are going to land here where we'll stay a week.

I will be in a place I love, and of which I have millions of memories. I will be among people I love and I have not seen for 8 years. and there's one thing I can predict, since my mood depends on my thoughts: I will be happy.

***
four (working) days before our holidays, with an endless list of things to do before the departure, I wondered if one can go to the sea without theme t-shirts. of course not. therefore last night while I was baking meatloaf and cooking green beans I began to cut and after having done the washing up and having sent to bed my little boy I picked up my paintbrushes.

***
I discovered the freezer paper technique here, but I think the net is full of tutorials about it, so I'm going to spare you my explanations and just publish my photos. I would only like to say that my starting point was the sketch of a sailing boat made by hand in the office in a very inspired moment (I then used that) just because I couldn't find any silohuette in the net which I liked. I could find the crab instead and I only had to print it.

***
as far as the cutting part is concerned I am thankful for my years of decoupage but I regret my perfect scissors which must be scattered somewhere in this house.

***
anyway, the result is not bad. and I would say that we can definitely go to the sea very happy.

***
hum ... yes, the eyes of the crab and the edge of the sails are raised. and I want to specialize this technique ...

questo finesettimana - this weekend

***

this has been a transition weekend, a sort of middle ground.

I entered it carrying on my shoulders the weight of some days spent amongst fragments of the past and memories which belonged to someone else and had to be catalogued to decide whether to throw or put them away - I do not have enough room or energy to bear the entire past of someone else - and that amongst all that I have been able to put in my car and bring here. those days passed one after the other amongst people to see to put on sale the house. and neighbours to thank, who cut my lawn and my fence while I am away. some special friends to embrace again. and then an escape to the seaside, a little bike rented for a tour of the city, cuddles in the evening and the morning since there's no rush, a frantoiana soup which was divine, some purchases in my favorite shop of art and lots of fruit sorbets.

***

among the things that I brought with me outstand two pieces of fine Japanese ceramics (one was on my dad's bedside table and I think I have never approached it that much after his death) and a couple of historical books: 'Fuffi Baruffi, the almost true adventures of a cat of wood ', dated 1947 and' dew drops - our life day by day ', a few lines for each day of the year, often in perfect harmony with my current way of thinking.

***

returning home was diluted amongst my little boy's curiosity, since he wanted to see his new room, his enthusiasm for the news, his joy of playing again with his two little girlfriends, my desire to clean and bring some good energy also in here , the first things to settle in a their new places, and my attempt to empty my mind of everything at least for two days, before a mini-routine and the preparations for our real vacation, which is just around the corner.

tomorrow I'm going back to the office. and the countdown begins.

questo finesettimana - this weekend

***
I woke up early on saturday morning, since I had set the alarm clock. it is too damn hot and the grass must be cut soon, otherwise I'll die. and since I'm out there, I also take a chance to change someting in my little boy's little house, as today the center of waste collection is open all day long and I can fill the trunk of my car at least twice with bulky waste.

* prima - before *

* dopo – after *

***
then, inevitably, I went to the library to return some books and pick up the latest book which had arrived for me by interlibrary loan request: Jack Vettriano. there is nothing to read, but lots of stuff to pass through the eyes and let go down to the belly, since his art moves so much inside me and I have a project in mind I want to think about.

***
this afternoon is slow and a bit lazy, with a suitcase to fill, since tonight I'm going to my blonde friend and here everything must be ready before I go out. she is back from Japan with the purchases I had commissioned to her and I am looking forward to going to recover them, so in addition to the one I've made with a piece of fabric , I will be able to make for me a real furoshiki bag.

my alarm clock will be set again tomorrow morning. I'm (finally) going to pick up my little boy at his father's and I'm going to hit the highway, towards Tuscany. there is a house waiting for me to be emptied (no, no, don't call them holiday), perhaps with some trip to the sea. and a couple of friends to hug again, if possible.

I do not know exactly when I return, I have no fixed plans. but I know that my laptop stays at home, since where I'm going there is no connection and since I have to work there. think of me, if you like. I'll be back soon and I'll tell you everything.

bei pensieri a caso - beautiful random thoughts

I'm going out almost every night. my little boy's holiday with his dad gave me a free hand. and the gap at home, together with the silence and the immense desire to see him soon - we've never been parted so long before - is the counterpart of the serene life that I'm slowly trying to build.

I miss him. but I'm not tearing my hair. this is the path I chose. and along the way, every day, I still choose to be happy. despite everything.

questo finesettimana - this weekend

***

I do not have much to say, this time. or maybe I'm just too tired to write. rather than using words I'm going to let my pictures tell you about my weekend. what you can't see from them is that it began on friday afternoon with an escape after work to an oasis of peace amongst wonderful hugs. I spent my saturday night laughing and watching this movie with my brownhaired friend. then, I simply continued the restructuring of my little boy's bedroom which I had started last weekend. I have stolen the ideas for my projects from pinterest (be careful if you do not know it, it is extremely addictive. and it's the main cause of my sleepless nights ...). now that I'm writing, I'm wearing the good fatigue of someone who has struggled a bit but who is also definitely happy with the achieved results.

 * nell'oasi di pace - in the oasis of peace *

 * questo non c'è più - this has been removed *

* ora c'è più spazio per giocare - there's more room to play now *

* volendo anche in una tenda - there might even be a tent *

 * la scrivania era così - the writing desk was in this state *

* ed io l'ho trasformata in lavagna - and I've made a chalkboard desk out of it *

* vado molto fiera di questa mia idea - I'm really proud of this idea I had *

*questa invece era la parete accanto al letto - this was the wall near the bed *

 * sede del mio progetto creativo di oggi - where I realized my creative project today *

questo finesettimana - this weekend

this weekend was long. I brought into it a couple of thoughts I had stolen from the previous week and I went on a swing with them for a while. I followed my own pace, bicycle, breakfast at the park, library, fruits and vegetables. I called a friend and invited her at my place, since I did not want to be alone. I discovered Vettriano. I started the program of my little boy's bedroom total revolution, something I had already studied in detail and which is ready for implementation now that he, for a good 2 weeks, is on vacation with his father. I cooked even for me only. I did a creative experiment of which I will write soon and that tomorrow is going to become a birthday present. I received a sms from Japan, where the blonde is busy with the purchases that I commissioned to her. I received also a confession via sms which has to do with my favorite beer, but that's another story. I woke up at night because of a storm and I spent a couple of hours in the company of thunders while I was chattng with my rebel hormones. I managed one morning out of three to sleep until late. and I spent the mid-August day with two kindred souls of mine amongst some good red wine, some grilled chicken, belly laughs and trivial pursuit.
