no, non è un acquario... - no, it's not an aquarium...

last summer, during our holidays in austria, I repeatedly came across places where you could buy semi-precious stones to vitalize drinking water. I chose the cheapest option and also what, in my opinion, better suited to my situation because I had read that the stones in question were particularly suitable for children.

the ones I bought are very similar to these.

how are they to be used? it's very simple. I rinse them under running water after having left them for a bit in the sunlight (this must be periodically repeated so that the stones can load power again) and then I put them in a jug with tap water, which we drink throughout the day. 2-3 hours are sufficient for the revitalization to take place. personally I reload the stones once a week and rinse them every day, everytime I put some new water into the jug.

in my jug there are:

aventurine (green) : it is able to purify the various bodies (physical, mental, emotional and ethereal), helping the person to break free from anxieties and fears. it brings peace, serenity and patience. It sends tranquillity and stability and helps to find your balance and to let go worries.

rock crystal (transparent) : it has a cleansing effect. it's detoxifying both on physical and on spiritual level, as it orders and purifies the absorbed energy. rock crystal brings clarity, harmony and understanding. it makes us aware and it's synonymous with wisdom and energy. it is often used for cleansing the aura and to support meditation.

calcite (yellow-orange) : it is synonymous with optimism and confidence. it strengthens self-esteem and tends to draw emotion and intellect - yin and yang -. it also promotes vitality and joy.

jasper (red): called stone warrior, red jasper promotes action, stimulates the nerves, makes fighting, gives the energy required to overcome any obstacle. it strengthens will and compassion, gives courage and energy, is challenging and makes mentally active. it supports the implementation of unpleasant tasks.

sodalite (blue): it is often used to facilitate the achievement of goals and ideals. it increases awareness, concentration and learning, it supports the search for truth and brings selfconfidence and stability.

here, that's how we drink in this house. and this is an ecopost since it supports the consumption of tap rather than bottled water. honestly, I have never understood if the water tastes better because of the stones or due to the fact that I leave it long in a jar with wide mouth before drinking it. certainly I do not feel the need for filter jug (on which, however, there are some very mixed opinions and I have doubts). as for the effect of the stones, well, I would say that my little boy and I are facing life in a good way, don't you think? who knows, maybe it's their effect...

bei pensieri a caso - beautiful random thoughts

I feel so good at home that I started doubting of not loving my job anymore. then I remembered a time when I was not living in this house, but in the one that I've never loved. and I remembered the atmosphere that hung around me before things changed. ergo: I love my job. but not as much as I love my home now.

I hate social networks. yet I can not say how much I've laughed on facebook these days.
to change your mind is not only legitimate but necessary. heraclitus.

y
esterday, at the insistence of a friend, I downloaded skype. and I spent the night chatting with her. and while this morning I was at my pc to retrieve some phone numbers and some information which could help me in clarifying some of my troubles, I came across a new blog friend and our chat on skype straightened my day and my mood.

with an operated knee and its pulling points I find really hard walking more than usual. but I found out that going by bike is great. I had to try it to find out. like all things. I wonder if tomorrow I can get to the river ... outdoor physiotherapy ...

one of my contacts on fb – a man I have not seen for years and years and years – is coming here tonight with some ice cream. I think it's a good idea. but hope he won't have others.

maybe it's because I'm drinking water and serenity, but I'm just fine. and I swear I'll write a post on energized water sooner or later...

questo finesettimana - this weekend

we are in the middle of summer.
on saturday afternoon at the blessed hill there were 86° F. as if it were juliy. with the advantage of having summer temperatures combined with the colors and the blue skies of spring (have you ever noticed that in summer, when it's really hot, the sky is not blue but almost white?).
my little boy has spent most of his time playing with his neighbors friends, a coming and going of little ones with games, bicycles, watering cans, horns, crunching carrots (well, fortunately, I am not the only health-conscious mom of the building) and so forth.
we also went to the park, where a colorful friend (it was our second meeting and on both occasions I completely forgot about the possible visit of the national health doctor and the hours I should have spent at home . I will blame the heat fot that ...

my little boy has spent almost all the entire sunday in his pajamas. then he gave proof of great creativity, asking almost every 10 minutes: 'mom, but is it Easter today?' until finally, late in the afternoon, he decided to get dressed and go out with his friends. this until mom called him back for a bath and ordered the pizzas to be delivered at home.

ps: grazie all'amica colorata che me l'ha dedicata su facebook, ho scoperto questo brano. bello come la vita.

ps: thanks to my colorful friend, who dedicated it to me on facebook, I discovered this track. which is as beautiful as life.

slow dance - danza lenta

Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round
Or listened to the rain slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's  erratic flight
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short
The music won't last
Do you run through each day  on the fly
When you ask "How are you?"  do you hear the reply?
When the day is done do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores running through your head?
You better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short
The music won't last
Ever told your child We'll do it tomorrow
And in your haste not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch Let a good friendship die
'Cause you never had time to call and say "Hi"?
You better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short
The music won't last
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day
It is like an unopened gift thrown away...
Life is not a race
Do take it slower
Hear the music
before the song is over."

David Weatherford - a child psychologist

Danza lenta

Faresti meglio a rallentare.
Non danzare cosi veloce.
Il tempo è breve.
La musica non durerà.
Percorri ogni giorno in volo?
Faresti meglio a rallentare.
Faresti meglio a rallentare.
Prendila piano.
Ascolta la musica
Prima che la canzone finisca.

parole altrui - quotes

true happiness resides within me.

most people are searching for happiness outside of themselves. that's a fundamental mistake. happiness is something that you are, and it comes from the way that you think.

- tanti auguri nonno franco!!!

auguri, babbo. saluta la zia. :-*
questa è per te.

- you know what? today is grandpa franco's birthday ...
- but ... grandpa franco is in heaven ...
- I know. he can not speak but he can hear you, if you want to wish him something ...
he rushes out into the garden with his face up.
- happy birthday grandpa franco!!!

happy birthday, dad. greet auntie for me. : -*
this song's for you.

acqua tonica all'argilla

1 tazza colma d’acqua (250 millilitri)

after having written of my cleansing milk, a post on a facial tonic is almost a must.

in francesca marotta's book on natural cosmetics there is this recipe that I of course have tested:

green clay tonic water

1 cup full of water (250 milliliters)
1 teaspoon of green clay
1 teaspoon of sea salt

put water and salt in a bowl, ad the clay and stir for about a minute. cover and let stand for one hour. pour water in a dark glass bottle, being careful not to stir the clay that is deposited on the bottom of the bowl. it will keep for two weeks at room temperature.

this tonic water is pure and rich in minerals, with hydrating and balancing properties.

my aromathology teacher, laura savo, writes that clay is a rock of sedimentary or volcanic origin, which in the mineral kingdom is an organism of advanced degree, since it is not composed of a single component, but by a set of elements (silica, aluminum, calcium, magnesium, potassium) and by a series of minerals (tin, iron, lead, gold and silver, copper and mercury) in quantities that could be called homeopathic, but that determine the healing properties of clay.

Laura also says that in the clay we can find all the forces related to the four elements: the forces of fire related to calcium, those of air and light related to silica, those of water related to aluminium and those of earth related to oxygen.

questo finesettimana - this weekend
